MICRONEEDLING

Look and Feel Younger With Our Minimally Invasive Procedure

Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is an popular minimally- invasive medical aesthetic technique for improving the appearance of one's skin.

The idea behind microneedling is simple; use small needles to cause tiny injuries to the skin so that it can heal itself and produce more collagen, which helps fill in fine lines, wrinkles, and scarring.

The needles also cause tiny channels in the skin that allow serums containing vitamins and minerals to penetrate deep into the dermis layer of your skin. This means that these serums can deliver their nourishing ingredients directly where they are needed most.

With proper care in accordance with doctor approved guidelines after treatment, patients can expect fast results with minimal downtime.

  •  Stimulates collagen production for skin tightening and improved elasticity.
  •  Reduces wrinkles, fine lines and other signs of aging.
  •  Targets stubborn pockets of fat and cellulite.
  •  Minimally invasive procedure with minimal risks or downtime compared to surgical procedures like liposuction.
  •  Improves circulation in order to transport vital nutrients throughout the body more quickly and efficiently resulting in a more youthful look with fewer wrinkles and fine lines.

Microneedling is generally safe for most people with no major side effects. However, some people may experience redness, swelling, bruising, or bleeding after treatment.

These side effects are usually mild and temporary. You may also experience dryness, itchiness, or tightness of the skin after treatment.

They're also usually mild and temporary and can be alleviated by using a gentle cleanser and hydrating moisturizer as directed by your skincare professional.

How Long Do the Effects Last?

The effects of microneedling treatments can last for several months, making it an ideal non-invasive alternative to surgical procedures such as facelifts

The duration of results from microneedling depends on the individual's skin type or condition as well as how often they undergo treatments.

Patients typically require 4 - 6 sessions spaced 4 - 8 weeks apart in order to achieve optimal results; however, even with just one treatment, the effects can last for several months.

    What Tools Are Used ?

The tool most commonly used for microneedling is called a dermaroller or micropen. A dermaroller consists of a handle with a roller on one end that has hundreds of very small needles attached to it.

The size of these needles can vary depending on how deep they need to penetrate into your skin, as well as based on which areas they will be used on.

Generally speaking, larger needles are used for treating deeper issues such as acne scars or stretch marks while smaller needles are better suited for more superficial issues like fine lines and wrinkles.

Pre-Treatment Care

Before undergoing any cosmetic procedure it’s important that you do some research and find out as much as possible about the procedure and the medical professional who will be performing it.

You should also consult with your doctor or dermatologist about if this treatment is right for you. Additionally, there are a few things that you should do in order to prepare for your appointment:

• Avoid taking aspirin or ibuprofen at least 48 hours before your appointment as they can thin the blood and increase bleeding during the procedure.

• Stop waxing or using any other forms of hair removal at least two weeks before your appointment. This will help avoid any potential irritation during the microneedling procedure.

 • Avoid tanning (real or fake) four weeks prior to your appointment; this includes avoiding sun exposure as well as tanning beds or lotions/sprays. It’s also important that you wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30+ whenever going outside in order to protect your skin from UV rays prior to and after treatment.

• If possible, avoid topical medications such as retinoids or benzoyl peroxide 10 days prior to treatment; these products can cause excessive redness and irritation after microneedling procedures so it’s best if they are not used close together

 • Do not use any harsh exfoliants such as scrubs 2-3 days prior; these can irritate the skin further when combined with microneedling treatments.

 • Be sure that you have discussed any skin allergies or conditions with your doctor prior to scheduling an appointment; some conditions may make microneedling unsafe for certain individuals depending on their individual circumstances.

Post-Treatment Care

After undergoing a microneedling treatment there are several steps that should be taken in order to ensure proper healing and recovery:

 • Keep your face clean - Avoid touching the treated area unless absolutely necessary; when washing only use lukewarm water and gentle cleansers/soaps specifically formulated for sensitive skin types (avoid exfoliating products).

 • Moisturize - Apply non-irritating moisturizers frequently throughout the day in order to keep skin hydrated; look for products containing hyaluronic acid or glycerin which help retain moisture within the skin cells without causing irritation (avoid products containing fragrances).

• Protect against sun exposure - Sunburns can occur after microneedling treatments due to increased sensitivity so it’s important that you apply sunscreen daily (SPF 30+) regardless of whether it is sunny outside or not (even when indoors!)

 • Avoid picking at scabs - Allow scabs time heal naturally without disruption as picking them off prematurely can lead to scarring/hyperpigmentation issues later on down the road; if there are any scabs present on treated areas gently wash them away using lukewarm water and mild soap only when necessary (avoid scrubbing).

Why Choose Microneedling

Unlike other treatments, microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that does not require surgery or recovery time. The tiny punctures created with the needles stimulate collagen production in the skin, leading to smoother, firmer, and more youthful looking skin. This process also improves overall texture and tone as well as elasticity, while promoting the growth of new cells to give the complexion a luminous glow. Furthermore, it can be used to reduce wrinkles and fine lines as well as treat acne scars and other skin imperfections with minimal risk of infection or side effects. The results are quick and long-lasting, allowing those seeking non-surgical solutions to enjoy natural looking results in just a few sessions. With minimal discomfort and no downtime required, microneedling is an ideal choice for anyone looking to restore their skin's vibrancy without resorting to more drastic measures.
